Halloween Food Ideas "Tasty Cobwebs"

Spiders creeping
Monsters sleeping
Underneath your bed
Distract them with a tasty treat--
This yummy spider web!
1 egg
¾ cup milk
2 tbsp. sugar
1¼ cup flour
¼ tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1 qt. oil
Heat oil in an electric fry pan to 400 degrees.  Oil should be 1 to 2 inches deep.  Beat egg and milk.  Mix all other ingredients in a bowl.  Slowly add to egg mixture and beat until smooth.  Using a squeeze bottle (you can purchase them at Walmart in the cake decorating department) or small pitcher , squeeze or pour batter into the oil from the center out into a web pattern.  If batter is too  thick, add a little more milk.  Cook until brown, turn and cook on the other side.  Place on paper towel (to drain oil) and immediately sprinkle with powdered sugar.  Repeat--cooking webs until the batter is gone.  Watch closely, they brown quickly!

Transfer webs to a festive Halloween plate to serve.  Add a big gummy spider to the web for maximum creepy effect.  This dessert is sure trap your guests!
