Halloween Craft Ideas "Katy Kitty" Count Down Candy Calendar

Posted by Elaine on 10:31 PM in

Halloween Craft "Katy Kitty" Candy Calendar was inspired by my little three-year-old granddaughter. We made these countdown calendars so that we could count down the days until Halloween, but, as it turns out, we're not very good at the whole counting thing! Just a couple of days into the month my little granddaughter came and said, "Grandma, you need to put more candy in my calendar!" I suggest displaying these where little kids with a sweet tooth don't have open access to them :-) Of course, my bigger kids aren't any better! Judging by the candy left in her calendar, my 25 year old daughter apparently thinks that Halloween will be here in just a couple of days... What's a mother to do?

Printable Cupcake Liners "Katy Kitty"

My little granddaughter just LOVES Hello Kitty right now, and that is what inspired my "Katy Kitty" Halloween theme. She just can't wait for Halloween and she is so excited to be able to dress up. The other day, I asked her what she was going to be for Halloween and she said "Hello Kitty!" I asked her what her little sister was going to be and she shouted "Hello Kitty!" I asked her what her mom was going to be and she told me that she too was going to be Hello Kitty. Expecting the same answer, I asked her what her dad was going to dress up as. She emphatically pronounced, "Superwoman!!!" We're still working on gender :-) Speaking of gender, these cupcake liners are great for a little girl's cupcake party! Printable Cupcake Liners "Katy Kitty" will have your little girl purring with delight...

Halloween Craft Idea "Pumpkin Head" Count Down Candy Calendar

Posted by Elaine on 6:24 PM in

In my family, Halloween is kind of a big deal if you know what I mean.  Now that my children are older, we've gotten into the habit of taken their little children out trick-or-treating early on in the evening so that we can spend the rest of the night at home! We pull couches in front of our big double front doors and then I arrange a lavish display of candy on benches in our front entry way.  With the trick-or-treaters having to venture into our house to get there boon it turns into a Halloween fashion show for us and we just all sit around to admire their costumes all night!  With a family who loves Halloween as much as we do, I just couldn't help but make this Halloween Craft "Pumpkin Head" Candy Calendar--it's a great way to count down the days until All Hallow's Eve!

Halloween Party Favor Idea "Mummy" Printable Candy Bar Pocket

When my daughter was younger, she was obsessed with losing weight. Knowing the detrimental effects of eating candy, she avoided candy like the plague--but that didn't mean that she didn't still crave it! I read in a magazine somewhere that if you smell sweets for a couple of minutes then that can sometimes satisfy your craving for them.  I'd forgotten that I'd mentioned this to her, until I came home one day and found her with two huge hunks of Reese's Peanut Butter Cups--sticking in her nose! I guess she figured that it was better to put them in her nose than in her mouth :-) I don't suggest sticking candy up your nose--but I do recommend putting it in these adorable candy bar holders! Printable Candy Bar Pocket "Under Wraps" Mummy adds a little flare to this simple but "tasteful" gift.

A name, a name, what's in a name? I tell you, with a name like "Elaine," there have been a lot of laughs associated with my name! One day I went to the store and had to fill out a form for something. The clerk asked me what my name was and I responded "It's Elaine." Imagine my surprise when the clerk handed me back my copy and I looked at the name printed boldly in the name place: "Ittsy Lane." My family laughed about it for years! These cute name cards are sure to get some smiles at your Halloween party--but you might want to ask for spellings on any new names at the party before you print them off :-)

When my son was young, he had a little friend over and I decided to make cookies for the two boys.  Seeing the full pan of freshly baked cookies on the counter, my son's friend exclaimed "oh boy! We never get to eat real cookies at my house because every time my mom makes them she eats all of the dough!" I laughed because I too am a cookie dough addict :-) If the cookies at your house make it to the pan, consider putting them in these adorable cookie holders. Homemade Party Favor "Under Wraps" Mummy Cookie Holder is a great way to share cookies with your family and friends!
