Everyone loves these scones.  They melt in your mouth.

What You Will Need:

2 cups flour
1/2 cup flour (for kneading dough)
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 cup sugar
4 tbsp. butter, chilled
3/4 cup cream
1/2 cup chopped fresh strawberries

Putting The Scones Together:

Mix flour, baking powder and sugar.  Cut in butter.  Stir in milk and strawberries, until blended.  Put dough on floured surface and gently knead into a ball.  Flatten to 1 1/2" thickness.  Cut into squares or you can use a shape.  The dough is really sticky, so dip your knife or cookie cutter in flour for each cut.  Place scones on greased cookie sheet or cookie sheet lined with parchment paper.  Bake scones at 400 degrees for 15 minutes or until lightly browned. Don't over bake.  Ice scones as soon as they come out of the oven.

Icing:  Mix 2 tbsp. melted butter with one cup powdered sugar, slowly stir in small amounts of milk until you reach a slightly runny consistency.
