Easy Bread-sticks

Making pasta or pizza and want an easy side to go along with it? These breadsticks are perfect and they're so tasty that everyone will like them!  I hate freezer breadsticks--I feel like they just don't taste the same...and with a recipe this simple and easy there's no reason not to just throw these together instead!

Making the bread-sticks:


1 1/2 cups hot water

1 tbsp yeast
1 tsp sugar
1 tbsp honey
1 tsp salt
3 1/2 - 4 cups flour

Mix water, yeast and sugar together in a dough mixer. Let bubble and rise.  Mix in honey and salt and then add flour until dough pulls away from the sides of the bowl.  Knead for 5-6 minutes.  Let rise for 25 minutes.  

Melt 1/4 cup butter on a cookie sheet.

Roll out dough and place on pan and then flip over so that both sides are covered in butter.  


Cut with a pizza cutter into strips (we cut ours into squares) and sprinkle with garlic salt and Parmesan cheese.  



Bake at 400 for 15 minutes.
