Summer is here and can't you just taste all the great summer foods? It is always fun to display your foods in fun and different containers. This sand pail pudding recipe is not a new recipe, the container (sand pail) is what makes it fun, cool and festive.
Making the Pudding:
2 pkgs instant pudding, you can use vanilla or banana cream
3 1/2 cups milk
One 8 oz. container cool whip
3 bananas, sliced
3 cups strawberries, sliced
1 lb pound cake, cut in cubes
One 14 oz. can sweetened condensed milk
2 cups vanilla wafer cookie crumbs or gram cracker crumbs
Place pudding and milk in a bowl and whisk until pudding is soft set. Fold in half of the cool whip.
Whisk the remaining cool whip and sweetened condensed milk together.
In your sand pail (make sure it is clean) layer 1/3 of the cake, 1/3 of the sweetened condensed milk mixture, 1 banana, 1 cup strawberries, and 1/3 pudding mixture. Repeat layers in this order two more times. Spread cookie crumbs on top and serve with the shovel of course. You can also add blueberries to the fruit layer.
