SCONES Ann Herlin Kitchen
MAKING THE SCONES:
4 cups warm water
4 tablespoons yeast
4 teaspoons sugar
4 tablespoons oil
8 cups flour
Sprinkle yeast over the water and let dissolve and bubble. When yeast is bubbly mix in the rest of the ingredients. Knead for 2 minutes. Let rest for 15 minutes. Roll out into a rectangle. Fry in hot oil. Place on paper towels to absorb excess oil. Enjoy!
